About Yapacc

Born in Frankfurt and now based in Berlin, Yapacc has been an active figure in underground electronic music since the early 1990s. Producer, live performer, label owner and modular instrument designer, he has built a distinctive analogue-driven approach that moves between house, minimal, techno and experimental electronics.

With more than 250 releases and decades of live performances behind him, Yapacc continues to explore electronic music through improvisation, precision and a deep connection between the artist and the machine. Alongside his musical work, he is also the founder of IO Instruments and Rides In The Storm, developing analogue modular synthesizers used by artists around the world.

The Mix

Built around house, deep house and refined electronic grooves, the mix just know where its going. It breathes through warm atmospheres and rolling rhythms, revealing the confidence of someone who knows exactly when to push forward and when to let the music speak for itself.

Beyond the Music

Yapacc’s long relationship with analogue electronics extends far beyond DJing and production. Through IO Instruments and Rides In The Storm, he designs modular synthesizers and electronic instruments, bringing the same philosophy of experimentation, precision and hands-on interaction into both music making and instrument building.

This episode also arrives just after Sofia Synth Symposium 2026, where Yapacc joined as the opening DJ, a speaker, and the founder of Rides In The Storm, presenting his modular instruments and sharing the analogue philosophy behind his approach to electronic music.
